L&T gets $ 60 mn order

New Delhi, Oct 14: Engineering and construction firm Larsen and Toubro Ltd (L&T) has said it has bagged an order worth 60 million dollars from Methanol Chemical Company (Chemanol) in Saudi Arabia.

As per the order, the company will set up plants and provide technical services for the erection and commissioning of the plants, a company statement said.

It will also work for residual process design, detailed engineering, project management and procurement of the equipment and materials for the plant. Chemanol is a private sector enterprise located in Saudi Arabia. It manufactures formaldehyde and its derivative products.

L&T is already executing 700 tonnes per day (TPD) of methanol and 100 TPD of carbon monoxide plant for Chemanol as part of its backward integration project. Both Methanol and Co are new materials for the Methyl Amines and DMF plant.
