Journalist Uttam Kamble new welcoming-president of Sammelan: Patil

Sangli, Maharashtra, Oct 14 (UNI) Well known journalist and literatteur Uttam Kamble will be the new welcoming-president of the 81st Akhil Bharatiya Marathi Sahitya Sammelan, to be held here in January next year.

This was today announced by Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister R R Patil at a news conference here after a committee meeting of the Sahitya Sammelan.

Mr Patil, who was selected earlier for the post of welcoming president, said Mr Kamble works with the Sakal Newspapers Group and is well known in the field of literature. His selection to the post is proper.

While he himself will work as joint working president instead of the Sammelan's welcoming-president, Mr Patil said and added everybody would work together to make the event a grand success.
