Goods train derailed, 2 trains cancelled

Kolkata, Oct 14 (UNI) Two trains under the North East Frontier Railway (NEFR) were cancelled today following derailment of a goods train late last night.

Eastern Railway PRO Samir Goswami told UNI here today that the 2094 up Kolkata-Guwahati (puja-special) train, scheduled to leave from the newly build Kolkata station in Norther part of the city at 2140 hours tonight, has been cancelled.

Similarly, 567 up Kanchenjunga Express, scheduled to leave the Sealdah station for Guwahati at 1845 hours tomorrow, has also been cancelled. It would leave on tuesday at its scheduled time, Mr Goswami said.

About 15 bogies of the goods train were derailed on the Kolkata- Guwahati route on the NEFR.
