Five killed, 15 others injured in explosion in cinema hall

Ludhiana, Oct 14 (UNI) Five cinemagoers were killed and 15 others injured in a powerful bomb blast in a cinema hall in the heart of this industrial town of Punjab tonight.

According to police sources three persons died on the spot while two others died on the way to the hospital. The injured have been admitted to various hospitals in the city.

The blast took place inside the hall of 'Shingar' cinema where the hindi film 'Bhool Bhulaiya' was being screened.

Senior police officials are at the spot and a forensic team has been summoned. A high alert has been sounded in the city.
