Defence publicity drive in Alappuzha on Oct 16

Kochi, Oct 14: A publicity drive to show-case the profesionalism of the Armed Forces would be organised in the neighbouring Alappuzha district on October 16.

According to an official release here today, the aim of the drive would be to enhance awareness among the public and attract the best talent for the tri-service special recruitment rally on October 17 and 18.

The display stalls would have static models, cut-outs of defence equipment and weapon systems in addition to publicity and help-desk services.

The main events of the awareness campaign included, fly-past by aircraft, rescue operations, operational demonstration of various marine commando activities, anchoring of ships, ship silhouette illumination and firing of colour signal flares.
