Anti-cheating ordinance to be strictly implemented in UP: Tripathi
Jaunpur, Oct 14 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Higher Education Minister Rakesh Dhar Tripathi today said the anti-cheating ordinance would be strictly implemented to improve the slumping educational status in UP.
''There is an urgent need to strictly implement the anti-cheating ordinance. Then only can the reducing eductional status be improved,'' Mr Tripathi maintained before mediapersons after unveiling freedom fighter Saltanat Bahadur Singh's idol at Baldapur town here.
''While, the self centre system had been ended for boys, it would be continued for girl students. If 75 per cent attendence is mandatory for students, at least 80 per cent should also be compulsory for the teachers. The teachers having below 80 per cent attendence ought to be stringently dealt with,'' he observed.
He asserted now, students from villages will not have to migrate to cities for higher education. Efforts were underway to provide job-oriented education at their respective villages itself.
