Accident fire from pistol claims Cong leaders life

Panipat, Oct 14 (UNI) Local Congress leader Inder Singh Chhokar was killed when his licensed pistol accidentally went off at his office in Samalkha town today morning, police said.

According to the police the deceased was cleaning the pistol when it went off. The bullet from the weapon penentrated his lungs and he died on the spot.

Chhokar was a close confidant of former chief minister Bhajan Lal. The police after registering a case have launched an investigation.
