Winter session of the assembly to commence on October 24

Puducherry, Oct 13 (UNI) The Winter Session of the Puducherry Legislative assembly would commence on October 24.

According to official sources, the notification in this regard would be issued soon.

The session is likely to be held for two days only.

The session would begin against a backdrop of several issues, including the Pattali Makkal Katci(PMK) seeking seperate reservation for the minorities in the Union Territory, as in Tamil Nadu and the elected local body representatives agitating for the devolution of powers, including finance.
