UP govt tough on high school, inter exam centres

Lucknow, Oct 13 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education department has directed officials to identify the centres, which are to conduct high school and intermediate examinations 2008, according to set policies and norms.

According to a circular, the deparment said the process of such identification by district/divisional committees had not been as per the norms in previous years.

In future, if any deviation was detected, the concerned district inspector of school (DIOS) and the joint director education would be held responsible, the circular added.

The final approved list of the examination centres should be published by the DIOS in the two largest selling newspapers for public information.
