Ram Sethu issue : Bitta to move SC
Gwalior, Oct 13 (UNI) All India Anti-Terrorist Front Chairman Maninderjit Singh Bitta today said he would soon file a PIL in the Supreme Court to urge framing of stringent legislation on the lines of the Terrorism and Disruptive Activities (Prevention) Act and the Prevention Of Terrorism Act against people such as Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi who ''hurt'' religious sentiments of the people on the Ram Sethu issue.
''Mr Karunanidhi hurt Hindu faith by making a baseless statement about Lord Ram,'' he told mediapersons prior to leaving for Rajasthan's Karauli district from Madhya Pradesh's Datia.
Alleging that the Centre's affidavit -- on the Sethu issue -- in the apex court was the outcome of a political conspiracy, Mr Bitta added that New Delhi should issue a white paper to clarify the situation.
A 'Sarvadharm Sammelan' on the Sethu issue would be organised this week in the national capital, he said.
