President Patil Greets Countrymen on Id-ul-Fitr

New Delhi, Oct 13 (UNI) President Pratibha Patil today greeted the countrymen on the occasion of Id-ul-Fitr which marks the end of the holy month of 'Ramzan'.

In a message here on the festival-eve, the President observed that the day was celebrated as a day of forgivenesss, fellowship, thanksgiving and moral victory.

''I hope that the occasion with its tradition of giving and sharing will infuse the spirit of unity and harmony in us,'' said Prasident Patil conveying her warm wishes to all fellow citizens in India and abroad.
