Precious metals shot up: Bombay Bullion Assn

Mumbai, Oct 13: The precious metals closed high for the fourth consecutive day today with silver soaring by Rs 60 per kg and gold by Rs 35 per ten gm owing to increased demand by local dealers, traders at the Bombay Bullion Association said.

Following are the closing rates of spot silver and gold: Silver (per kg) 999 fineness grade : Rs 18,340 (18,280) Gold (per 10 gm) Gold 99.5 purity standard mint : Rs 9,575 (9,540) Gold 99.9 purity pure gold : Rs 9,625 (9,590).
