Police officer arrested while accepting bribe

Dehri-on-sone, Oct 13 (UNI) A Sub-Inspector, posted at Shivsagar police station in Rohtas district, was arrested today while accepting bribe from an accused in a criminal case.

Police said acting on a tip off, a sleuth of district police led by additional Police Superintendent P Kannan, caught red-handed SI Laxman Yadav while he was receiving Rs 5000 from an accused to extend undue favour to him.

Yadav was sent to jail after interrogation, police added.
