Pilgrim found dead at Katra

Jammu, Oct 13 (UNI) A pilgrim was found dead under suspicious circumstances near the holy town of Katra of Jammu and Kashmir, police said here today.

Sukhvinder Singh (25), a resident of Pathankote in Punjab, was found dead at Moori, three km from Katra, last evening, police added.

Sukhvinder had returned from the Vaishno Devi holy cave after paying his obeisance yesterday, police said, adding that his body was sent for a post-mortem.

His family members had been informed. The Katra Police have registered a case under section 174 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) in this connection, police added.
