Mandeep and Ravinder win junior single scull gold medals

Chandigarh, Oct 13 (UNI) The Chandigarh State Junior Rowing Championship for Boys and Girls here today saw Ravinder Singh and Mandeep Kaur bagging the Gold Medal in boys and girls single scull events respectively.

The races, conducted on a 1000 M long water course, included Single Scull, Double Scull, Coxless Pairs and Coxless Fours for girls and boys in separate events.

Students from Government Model School, Sector-10, Carmel Convent School, Century Public School, Naya Gaon; Gain Jyoti Public School Mohali and other local schools participated in the championship.

In double scull Fiza Chopra and Bhavshabad came first while in boys event Ravinder Singh and Ravinder Jit's pair won the gold medal.

In Coxless Pairs, Davinder Kumar and Rajinder Singh were first while in Coxless Fours the team of Davinder Kumar, Rajinder Singh, Robin Rawat and Sharma Singh won the Gold.
