Lt Col S S Khurana passes away

Bhubaneswar, Oct 13 (UNI) Founder Administrator of Ruchika Social Service Organisation and Ruchika High School Lt Col S S Khurana, passed away today at a private hospital here.

He was 80.

He is survived by his wife and two sons.

Mr Khurana, who was suffering from multiple myloma for the last 11 years, was very much active till the end of his life. He was actively involved with the marginalised children of Orissa for their welfare and development.

He was recognised by the Orissa government and many other agencies as a protagonist of transparent and accountable governance.

A strong army officer, he was much admired by all the officers of the army during his tenure.

Family sources said his eyes would be donated as per his wish for the future generation.Several social activists have condoled the death of Mr Khurana.
