Honour for NIMS Director

Hyderabad, Oct 13 (UNI) Nizam's Institute for Medical Sciences (NIMS) Director D Prasada Rao will receive the 'Sadbhavana Award' for outstanding services to medical science on the occasion of 'Rajiv Gandhi Sadbhavana Yatra Commemoration Day' on October 19.

Talking to newspersons here today, Rajiv Gandhi Sadbhavana Yatra Commemoration Committee Chairman and PCC General Secretary G Niranjan said Former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi had started the yatra from Charminar in 1990, on October 19.

To commemorate the day, every year awards are given to eminent personalities from various fields to propogate the ideals of the Former Prime Minister.

The award would be presented at a function to be held at Charminar, he said.
