Contaminated water caused death of fishes in Surat
Surat, Oct 13 (UNI) After three cases of dead fishes found on the shores of the Dumas last month, the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) has stated that petroleum hydro-carbon was found in the samples.
The biotechnology department had earlier stated that the cause of death of fishes was some oil which got mixed with the water.
While the pollution control board has stated that the death of fishes could be due to less quantity of dissolved oxygen in the water.
The reports of the incident were released yesterday after a month of its taking place.
