Kolkata, Oct 13 (UNI) West Bengal Pradesh Congress Committee working president Pradip Bhattacharjee today said until and unless industrialist Ashok Todi was arrested, the Rizwanur Rehman case would not be solved.

Several ruling party leaders had visited Rizwanur's house and assured that all the erring police officials would be arrested, but till now none had been arrested, Mr Bhattacharjee said.

He said it was high time that the state government took action against the involved police officials, particularly after Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee's visit to Rizwanur's residence.

Mr Bhattacharjee today met Rizwanur's mother Kishwar Jahan and assured her of justice.

Commenting on the Chief Minister's visit to Rizwanur's residence, CPI state secretary Manju Majumder said it was better late than never.

Forward Bloc state secretary Ashok Ghosh called for an immediate Left Front meeting to hammer out the Rizwanur case at the earliest as the people's ire was rising.
