Raipur, Oct 13 (UNI) Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh today ruled out the possibility of advancement of assembly elections in the state in the event of mid-term poll to the Lok Sabha.

''Our government will complete its full term. Assembly elections will be held as scheduled in November 2008'', he told UNI here.

Dr Singh described as baseless reports which suggested that a section of BJP leaders of the state favoured advancement of assembly polls in the event of mid-term polls to the Lok Sabha.

''Even the opposition parties did not have the moral right to press for such a demand. Will the Congress advance assembly polls in the states ruled by it?'', he added.

Asked whether the BJP was mulling to field senior leaders, including a number of ministers, in the Lok Sabha polls, Mr Singh quipped ''If any minister is interested to contest Lok Sabha polls, the party will consider it''.
