Boy killed after being struck by lightning

Junagadh, Oct 13 (UNI) A nine-year-old was killed after being struck by lightning at Nanidhhanej village in Maliya-Hatina taluka of this district yesterday.

Police have identified the boy as Sukhdev who had accompanied his parents who were working in their field when lightning struck.

Sukhdev died on the spot.

The boy's father Bharatbhai (37), mother Manjuben (32) and younger brother Bhavesh (7) were injured in the incident and were rushed to a hospital where they are stated to be out of danger.
