AP CM greets Muslim brethren on occasion of Id-ul-Fitr

Hyderabad, Oct 13 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today extended his warm greetings and felicitations to all the Muslim brethren in the state on the auspicious occasion of Id-ul-Fitr tomorrow.

In a message here, Dr Reddy said Id of Ramzan was a festive occasion symbolising a sense of achievement by all those whom the God had assured bliss of spiritual contentment in return to month-long fasting. Observation of Ramzan fasting was a pathway towards purity of soul in a healthy body with compassionate mental faculties and those who had observed fast all the days enjoy more happiness and feel spiritually enlightened.

The holy month of Ramzan signifies the will power of man to attain self-control over his mind, body and stands as a symbol of universal love, selfless service and spiritual maturity in the mainstream of the life. The eternal values preached by Prophet Mohammed were more significant and relevent to every generation since the time immemorial, the Chief Minister said.

He said the festival would strengthen the bonds of love, compassion and mutual understanding among the people and bring cheer and prosperity in their lives.

BJP state unit President Bandaru Dattatreya also greeted them.

In his statement, he said ''Id is the festival of joy, charity and purity of soul, which are the fundamentals of the Islamic principles with dedicated prayers''.
