550 cases settled today in Haryana

Chandigarh, Oct, 13 (UNI) As many as 550 cases were settled in Lok Adalats held today at Karnal, Panchkula, Panipat and Rohtak.

While giving this information here today, a spokesman of the Haryana State Legal Services Authority (HALSA) said that the cases include 48 of MACT wherein an amount of Rs 33,46,000 was awarded as compensation.

In these Lok Adalats 502 cases pertaining to other categories such as civil and criminal, revenue and bank loan were also settled at pre-litigative stage, he added.

He said that rural lok adalat would be held at village Sarsehri in Ambala, Sikrona in Faridabad,Gatauli in Jind, Dhamtan Sahib in Narwana-Jind and Purkhas village in Sonipat district on October 14.
