Sonepat wins Haryana State Inter School Championship

Panipat, Oct 12 (UNI) Sonepat bagged the overall championship of three day Haryana State Inter School Championship concluded here in Shivaji Stadium last evening.

Around 1,400 students from different schools of the state participated in the championship. The Commissioner and Principle secretary, sports and youth welfare Department, Sarban Singh, distributed prizes among the winners .

Speaking on the occasion, He said the state government was committed for promotion of sports and numbers of incentives including cash Awards and job reservation had been introduced by the government.

In order to boost activities in rural areas of the state, he said, sports stadiums were being constructed in all those villages having population of more than 10,000.

He announced cash incentive of Rs 1100 to each participating team from Panipat district administration.
