Six cops transferred on corruption charge
Thiruvallur, Oct 12 (UNI) Six police officials, including a woman Sub-Inspector, who were part of a highway patrol team, were today transferred en masse by the Thiruvallur district police following corruption charges against them.
District Superintendent of Police Senthamaraikannan, acting on a complaint that the highway patrol police were collecting money by waylaying vehicles on the Thiruvallur-Tirupati National Highway, conducted a probe and transferred them.
All the six, including the woman SI Alamelu, were shifted to Armed Reserve police and issued service memo.
