Shells shuts gasoline-making unit at Singapore plant

SINGAPORE, Oct 12 (Reuters) Royal Dutch Shell has shut down the 33,000 barrels per day (bpd) Residue Fluid Catalytic Cracker (RFCC) complex at its Singapore refinery more than a week ago due to an outage at the plant, industry sources said on Friday.

The duration of the unplanned shutdown, which occurred at the Long Residue Catalytic Cracker (LRCC) unit in the gasoline-making complex, has not been confirmed as the damage is still being assessed, they added.

When contacted, a Shell spokesman said the company does comment on operational matters.
