Security up in TN temples post Ajmer blast

Chennai, Oct 12 (UNI) Security arrangements in temples and other places of worship have been tightened across Tamil Nadu, following yesterday's terror attack at Ajmer Dargah in Rajasthan.

Police said tight security arrangements were put in place at all temples, places of worship, railway stations, bus depots and other vital installations.

Security was tightened at 394 mosques and 124 dargahs in the city, while armed policemen were patrolling important places including the Central and Egmore railway stations and Koyambedu Mofussil Bus Terminus, police added.

Metal detectors were installed at many public places and vehicles entering the city were being checked.
