Remove all unlawful hoardings: SC to MCD

New Delhi, Oct 12 (UNI) The Supreme Court today directed the Municipal Corporation of Delhi(MCD) to remove all illegal hoardings in the city.

A bench comprising Chief Justice K G Balakrishnan, Justice Arijit Pasayat and Justice S H Kapadia accepted the scheme framed by the the civic body for putting up hoardings.

The court, taking a tough stance on the issue, directed the MCD to immediately remove all hoardings which have been put up in violation of the government scheme.

All hoardings which obstruct the movement of traffic and pedestrians will have to go forthwith, the court stated.
