President to visit Amravati tomorrow

Nagpur, Oct 12 (UNI) President Pratibha Patil will make a brief visit to Amravati in Vidarbha region of Maharashtra tomorrow.

Ms Patil would arrive here from New Delhi by a special Indian Air Force (IAF) aircraft shortly before noon tomorrow. She would then immediately proceed to Amravati, an official press release said.

The President would stay in Amravati for the night. On Sunday morning, she would return to Nagpur and then leave for Hyderabad by a special IAF aircraft.

Ms Patil would be accorded a public felicitation in Amravati city.

This is first her first visit to her in-law's place after being elected as the first citizen of the country, the official release added.
