President in Amravati tomorrow

Nagpur, Oct 12 (UNI) President Pratibha Patil will make a brief visit to Amravati in Vidarbha region of Maharashtra from tomorrow.

Ms Patil would arrive here from New Delhi by special Indian Air Force (IAF) aircraft shortly before noon tomorrow. She would immediately proceed to Amravati by IAF helicopter, an official press release said.

The President would camp in Amravati for the night. She would return to Nagpur by IAF helicopter on Sunday morning and leave for Hyderabad by special IAF aircraft.

Ms Patil would be accorded a public felicitation in Amravati city during her visit, which will be her first visit to her 'sasural' (in-law's place) after being elected to the top political post in the country, an official release added.
