Peace meeting at Kohima

Kohima, Oct 12 (UNI) The Joint Forum of the Gaon Burahs' (Village Headmen) Federation (GBs) and Dobhashis' (Translators) Association (DBs) of Nagaland have decided to take out a peace rally here on October 18.

Sources said today that the GBs and DBs will gather at the MLA Hostel Junction here, from where they will take out a procession to the Indoor Stadium and hold a meeting, addressed by Nagaland Additional Chief Secretary and Commissioner T N Mannen.

Several other public leaders, church leaders and other officials will also address the meeting to bring about peaceful atmosphere in the state.

Earlier, the Joint Forum had declared unilateral ceasefire among all the underground factions of the state and appealed to them to shun violence against their Naga brothers and create a peaceful atmosphere for all round development of the Nagas.
