Bhopal, Oct 12 (UNI) Union Minister for Human Resources Development and Senior Congress leader Arjun Singh today said a network of central schools would be established as per requirement across the country in the next Five Year Plan.

''At present there are about 900 Kendriya Vidyalayas and still demands are raised from many places for open more such schools'', Mr Singh said at a function to mark the foundation stone laying ceremany for constructing a Kendriya Vidyalay building here.

''The HRD ministry will fulfill the demand for opening central schools in different regions'', he said, adding the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan was fulfilling its responsibility towards education unmindful of any publicity.

''Responsibilities would increase with the expansion of the organisation and hence teachers and other officials have to jointly fulfill their responsibilities'', added Mr Singh.

He said education sector was erupting across the world and we had to go with the wind. Everybody had a responsibility to direct our youth energy to stand up in the competitive world. ''The KVS was committed to give a proper direction to the youth who constituted half of our population'', he added.

Taking a dig at tardy implementation of projects, Mr Singh commented that normally the time taken between foundation stone laying and building completion can not be counted, but hoped that this Kendriya Vidyalaya building would come up on schedule.
