I did justice being the DCM: Yediyurappa
Hubli, Oct 12 (UNI) Former Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister B S Yadiyurappa today asserted that he has done justice to the opportunity he got to serve the people of the state as the Deputy Chief Minister for 20 months.
Inaugurating ten-day Dasara Darbar of Rambhapuri seer here, he said the programmes such as 'Bhagylaxmi' and 'Sandhya Surkasha', he had initiated had benefited a large number of people.
"I never aspired for power. But neither I am a son of a former prime minister or a chief minister, I am the son of a farmer and wanted to serve the people. So many seers advised former Chief Minister H D Kumarswamy to hand over the power to me but nothing happened", he said.
Mr Yadiyurappa claimed that he was not upset over not getting the Chief Minister's post. However he was 'upset' as it had resulted in slow down of implementation of the development works he had planned.
