Husky acquires more acreage offshore Greenland

CALGARY, Alberta, Oct 12 (Reuters) Husky Energy Inc has picked up its third license for oil and gas acreage off Greenland and will explore the region in partnership with Exxon Mobil Corp , it said.

Husky, which is controlled by Hong Kong billionaire Li Ka-shing, said the license covers 13,213 square km (5,101 square miles), 30 km (19 miles) off the west coast of Disko Island.

Husky and Exxon each have 43.75 percent interests and Greenland national oil company Nunaoil A/S has the remainder.

Last June, Husky acquired two licenses adjacent to the newest one.
