HDFC net profit up by 40 pc

Mumbai, Oct 12 (UNI) HDFC Bank, India's largest housing finance bank, has registered a net profit increase of 40.14 per cent at Rs 368.5 crore for its second quarter ended September 30 as compared to Rs 263 crore in the corresponding period last fiscal.

For the same quarter, the total income of the Bank rose up by 44 per cent at Rs 2845 crore as compared to Rs 2033 crore in the corresponding quarter last fiscal.
