EID to be celebrated in India on Sunday
New Delhi, Oct 12 (UNI) Eid-ul-fitr, which marks the end of the holy Ramzan month, will be celebrated on October 14, Shahi Imam of Fatehpuri masjid announced here today.
In a statement, the Iman M Mukarram Ahmed said the new moon of Eid was not sighted today, and so it will be celebrated on Sunday.
The day is decided at the end of the Ramzan month during which Muslims observe fast. It is celebrated on the day following the spotting of the new moon.
