DRAM oversupply won't be resolved in Q4 - Samsung

SEOUL, Oct 12 (Reuters) Samsung Electronics Co Ltd , the world's top memory chip maker, does not believe the current global oversupply in computer chips will be solved in the fourth quarter, an executive said on Friday.

''The problem of oversupply in DRAM market looks unlikely to be solved in the fourth quarter, though the situation could improve,'' Chu Woosik, executive vice president of investor relations at Samsung, said at a news conference following the release of the company's third quarter earnings.
