Death penalty for killing three

Dharamshala, Oct 12 (UNI) A local court today pronounced a death sentence for a Haryana resident for murdering three people of a family in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh last year.

Harish Kumar murdered his friend Vinod Kumar, his wife and 22-month-old child on the intervening night of September 27 and 28 at Nandroli village in the district.

Harish after drinking liquor with his friend Vinod attempted to rape his wife, who after resisting his advances was murdered followed by her child and and her husband.

The accused than left the house in the wee hours and was arrested from Ladwa village of Kurukshetra district of Haryana on October 3.

The court held him guilty on a count of triple murder and sentenced him to death.
