Court pronounces death in triple murder

Dharamshala, Oct 12 (UNI) A local court here in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh today pronounced death sentence to a Haryana resident for triple murder of a family in the district last year.

Harish Kumar murdered his friend Vinod Kumar, his wife and 22-month old child in the intervening night of September 27 and 28 last night at Nandroli village in the district.

The Haryana resident after drinking liquor with his friend Vinod on September 27 attempted to rape his wife who after resisting his advances was murdered followed by the murder of his child and Vinod.

He than left the house in the wee hours and was arrested from Ladwa village of Kurukshetra district of Haryana on October 3 to death.

The court held him guilty of triple murder and sentenced him to death.
