Bank looted in Chhattisgarh
Ambikapur, Chhattisgarh, Oct 12 (UNI) More than Rs 9 lakh were looted by four armed youths at about 1600 hrs today from the Central Bank of India branch at Koriya district's Khongapani village, police said.
The youths locked up six officials and a customer in the strong room, snatched their cellphones, assaulted a cashier and looted Rs 9,00,390. Branch Manager R K Shukla later alerted police.
Superintendent of Police K M Joori and other officers rushed to the spot.
A cordon was set up.
