6 die of malaria

Mainpuri, Oct 12 (UNI) At least six people died of malaria in the district in the last 24 hours.

Official sources said here today Goldie (15), Avnish (5), Monu (7), Lokesh (3) and an infant Anmol died at the district hospital during treatment.

Meanwhile, Mohd Ibrahim of Aali Kheda succumbed at a private nursing home.

Chief medical officer A C Verma said a comprehensive anti-malaria drive had been undertaken.

DDT was being sprayed in the affected villages and cooperation was being sought from the gram pradhans to counter this menace.
