5 Additional Judges Named

New Delhi, Oct 12 (UNI) The appointment of five Additional Judges to the High Courts of Punjab and Haryana and Jammu and Kashmir by President Pratibha Devisingh Patil was announced today.

Three separate announcements were made, the first about Justice Jai Pal Singh to the Jammu and Kashmir HC, and the second and third about Justices Mohinder Pal, Harbans Lal, Sham Sunder and Karam Chand Puri to the Punjab and Haryana HC.

The second announcement specified that the appointment of Justices Pal, Lal and Sunder will be ''in that order of seniority.'' All appointments will be for two years from the day of assumption of office.
