Rs 16.95 cr budget for drought hit areas
Lucknow, Oct 11 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh government has allocated a Rs 16.95 crore budget for alleviating the 11,141 hectre land destroyed by drought at 60 blocks in 15 districts.
The information was provided by Land Development and Water Resource Department principal secretary Pritam Singh here today.
The prime objectives of this 75 per cent centrally sponsored scheme are to create addittional job opportunities, improvement in lifestyle of the downtroddens and mushrooming production by preserving water resources.
