One more arrested in Aurangabad arms haul case

Mumbai, Oct 11 (UNI) The Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) of Mumbai Police have arrested one more person in connection with the Aurangabad arms haul case.

Mustaffa Sayyed was arrested on Tuesday from Hyderabad for his alleged involvement in the case and was brought to Mumbai yesterday on transit remand. The accused was produced before MCOCA court judge Mridula Bhatkar who remanded him in police custody till October 25.

In this case, a total of 20 people have been arrested by the investigating agency so far.

In May, the ATS had seized 43 kg of RDX, 16 AK-47 assault rifles, 3,200 ammunition rounds and 50 hand grenades on the Nasik-Aurangabad highway. Police suspect that the accused have links with the Lashkar-e-toiba.
