Mortal remains of Bommai to arrive today

Hubli, Oct 11 (UNI) The mortal remains of former Karnataka Chief Minister S R Bommai, who died at Bangalore yesterday, was expected to arrive here by 2200 hours today.

According to his family sources, the cartege would arrive after touching Haveri, Hulaguru, Kamdolli, Shirur and Kundagol, where he started and pursued his political career.

The funeral would be held at his farm house in Amargol near here at 1400 hrs tomorrow.

Meanwhile, several leaders and prominent personalities including veteran classical vocalist Gangubai Hangal, former ministers Jahadish Shettar, Basavaraj Horatti, Prahlad Joshi, MP, Leader of the Opposition in the Council H K Patil and legislators S R More, A M Hindasgeri mourned the demise of Mr Bommai.
