Milk producers urge administration to contain disease

Puducherry, Oct 11 (UNI) The cooperative milk producers at Sompet in Thirukkanur near here today urged the administration to take immediate steps to contain the spreading foot and mouth disease among the milch animals.

They said several of their milch animals were affected by the disease and as many as 20 calves died so far.

They held a demonstration before the Milk Society at Sompet along with the dead calves.
