KR to honour its employees for excellence in service

Mumbai, Oct 11 (UNI) Konkan Railway will honour 18 of its meritorious employees from across the Konkan region with the 'Foundation Day' awards for 'excellence in service'.

The employees will get the 'Managing Director's medal' and a cash award, an official said today.

Every year, KR celebrates October 15 as its 'Foundation Day.

''Having made a name for itself in last 17 years in mega-construction projects, development of innovative technologies, and managing efficient train operations, which had earned the Corporation praise from the World Bank, Konkan Railway recently got a shot in the arm as a proposal for innovative Anti-Collision Device (ACD), developed by it, has been commissioned as a pilot project on North East Frontier Railway recently,'' the official informed.
