Jaya suffers hitch at airport

Coimbatore, Oct 11 (UNI) Former Tamil Nadu chief minister and AIADMK General Secretary J Jayalalithaa suffered a hitch at Peelamedu airport, Coimbatore, today.

According to airport sources, the Paramount Airline by which she was to return to Chennai from Kodanadu estate in Nilgiri district developed a technical snag. Jaya, who boarded the airline at 2000 hrs, was forced to get off the flight as she was told that the aircraft had developed a technical snag.

However, after waiting for more than an hour, in the airport, Ms Jaya returned to Chennai by an Air Deccan flight at 2135 hrs.

Jayalalithaa was in Kodanadu estate in Nilgiri district, for about a week.
