Infiltration bid foiled in Kashmir, two militants killed

Srinagar, Oct 11 (UNI) The Army today foiled another infiltration bid from across the Line of Control (LoC) by killing two militants in Khhapi Baikh area of Kupwara district, a defence spokesman said.

He said movement of militants attempting to sneak into the Indian side was detected by troops of 16 JAT early today.

The movement was tracked and in a well-coordinated operation, two infiltrators were killed, the spokesman added.

He said two AK assault rifles and some ammunition were seized from the encounter site, besides recovery of war-like stores.
