Husband, in-laws nabbed after death of newly-wed woman

Ambala, Oct 11 (UNI) The Police arrested a man and his parents after a newly-wed woman from Novelty Cinema locality in Ambala City was found dead under suspicious state late last night.

According to police, the woman Gagandeep's in-laws claimed that they found her hanging from the ceiling of a room and pulled her down after breaking open the door.

Police took the body into possession and sent it to civil hospital for postmortem to establish whether it was a case of suicide or murder.

Meanwhile, the family members of the diseased, who reached here from Ludhiana on receiving the information last night, got agitated and ransacked the house alleging that their daughter had been killed by her in-laws who had been demanding more dowry.

The deceased was married to Sahil, son of jeweller Rakesh Malhotra, a few months back.

Her family also alleged that Gagandeep's relations with her husband had also soured over his continuing affair with another woman.

Police arrested Sahil and his parents on the family's complaint.
